Washing machine diagnostics

If the washer will not start, stops mid-cycle or shows an error code, identify the cause with methodical testing.

Washing machine not filling

If the tap is open but the washer does not fill, have the inlet hose, filter, valve and level sensor checked.

If water remains in the drum and the cycle will not spin, have the filter, drain hose and pump system checked.

If laundry remains wet or the drum does not turn, check load balance, drainage, belt, motor and control system.

For loud spinning, movement or metal scraping, have the installation, dampers, bearings and drum checked.

If the panel is blank, buttons do not respond or an error remains, test the connected sensors and circuits before replacing the board.
